Why No Agency
Because we've hired enough of them.
The name isn't a swipe at the industry. It's a description of what we removed: the offices, the layers, the account management, the meetings about meetings and the overhead that ends up on your invoice whether it helped you or not.
“We don't think you should be charged yesterday's development costs for today's technology.”
Questions worth asking
Straight answers.
- Are you anti-agency?
- No. Good agencies, developers and specialists deliver enormous value when a project genuinely needs that level of work. Our argument is about fit and efficiency, not talent. Many small businesses are simply buying more process than their project requires.
- Do you use AI to build websites?
- Yes, along with modern frameworks, automation and whatever else helps us do excellent work efficiently. We don't hide it. The relevant question isn't how many hours were spent writing code — it's whether the website looks great, works properly, gets found and helps the business.
- Will my website rank #1 on Google?
- We won't promise that, and neither should anyone else. We build SEO-ready websites: correct structure, fast pages, proper metadata, sitemap, schema and Search Console setup. Ongoing ranking depends on continuing work, competition and your market.
- How is NZ$995 possible?
- By removing overhead rather than removing quality. No office, no account management layer, no lengthy discovery theatre, and modern tooling that does in hours what used to take days. Pricing is indicative and depends on final scope.
- Who actually owns the website?
- Ownership, access and portability matter to us — we've been the frustrated client before. Specific terms are confirmed in writing per project once scope and hosting arrangements are agreed. We'd rather you stay because we're useful than because leaving is difficult.
